Performed by acclaimed pianist Mischa Cheung, Piano Fantasies is an officially licensed album featuring twelve newly arranged pieces from FINAL FANTASY, KINGDOM HEARTS, CHRONO TRIGGER and Secret of Mana, with music by Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Shimomura, Yasunori Mitsuda and Hiroki Kikuta.
The studio album features titles such as No Promises to Keep (FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH), Edge of Existence (KINGDOM HEARTS), To Far Away Times (CHRONO TRIGGER) and Fear of the Heavens (Secret of Mana).
Released in October 2025, the album launch was celebrated with a dedicated concert tour in Tokyo, Stockholm and London.

Piano Fantasies – music from SQUARE ENIX
Produced by Merregnon Studios under official license from SQUARE ENIX, Piano Fantasies was recorded at Musikaliska Kvarteret in Stockholm in early 2025. Following the successful orchestral albums Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo, Final Symphony and Final Symphony II, it is the company’s first solo piano album.
Piano Fantasies was released on October 31, 2025 on all major digital platforms via Merregnon Records, with CD and vinyl editions following on November 21, 2025 through Black Screen Records. All editions feature exclusive cover artwork created by the SQUARE ENIX in-house art team.
Mischa Cheung
Mischa Cheung is a regular pianist in Merregnon Studios’ Game Concerts series, including Final Symphony, Final Symphony II, and Symphonic Memories. He has performed with leading orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, and recorded the FINAL FANTASY IX Piano Concerto for the Final Symphony II album in 2023.
Cheung studied with Konstantin Scherbakov at the Zurich University of the Arts, where he now also teaches. As a member of the Gershwin Piano Quartet, he tours internationally and works across a wide range of classical and contemporary projects.
